Dublin Team
Every year an U14 Dublin Basketball Team is selected to travel to Belgium to compete in "Tournoi de Liege". This team is selected from all clubs that wish to send their elite players to open trials usually held after Christmas.
Carmel Kilmartin(Tolka Rovers) and Eddie Guilmartin(Templeogue) have been running this program for the last ten years. It gives boys from this age group an opportunity to compete in a FIBA recognised international tournament. Teams from all over Europe attend and it gives the boys an opportunity to see the level of basketball being played out there. Last Yr the team went to Stockholm as Liege dates changed and this yr they will travel to Wanze in Belgium to play. This blog is designed to give an update to players and parents on the lead up to our trip and will be updated with results of games too. Hope it helps
